It is for this reason that the method is very popular in determining the optical period for insemination. Some females will require more than one test to predict ovulation. We recommend start testing 7 days after vulvar swelling and bleeding, Retest every 2 to 3 days until ovulation. Ovulation in canine can happen anywhere between day 7 and day 27. Results are delivered in 15 to 20 minutes.
